Chinese market leader Xiaomi set its focus to expand their Indian store network to attract market share in the smartphone segment which Korean giant Samsung has dominated for the last couple of years.
-
It has been only 3 years since Xiaomi has begun their operations in India but now they are giving cut throat competition to its competitors such as Oppo, Vivo, moto etc. and mainly the market leader Samsung.
-
Earlier they used to sell their smartphones by targeting the customers with the help of online platforms but since 2017 they have diverted their strategies and aims at setting up of an offline platform to boost up their revenue and sales.
-
This Chinese smartphone player has already covered 17 outlets in India and now they are planning to set up 100 outlets until mid-2019 by making the offline platform as their base.
-
Xiaomi already sells air purifiers and fitness products in India and they are likely to invest in TV, water purifiers and scooters in future.
With this, we can predict that Xiaomi is ready with their blueprint to counter their big rivals in the Indian smartphone market.
