Samsung loses top spot to Apple; OnePlus at No.2

  • For the very first time, Samsung gets down from the top 2 position with Apple at the top rank and OnePlus at the second in the July-September segment.
  • The brands like Google, Xiaomi and Nokia with their new models in the high-end segment of Rs 30,000 and above are going to give far tough competition to Samsung and Apple.
  • Samsung is going to find it tough in competition and might cut down its price to remain in competition as the price gap between its flagship and those of competitors like OnePlus and Xiaomi is quite larger in the premium segment.
  • As far as iPhone X is concerned, its demand is very high but hardly any supplies, even shopkeepers are asked not to take a lot of booking and customer might shift to iPhone 8 or iPhone 8Plus due to inadequate supplies of high price model.
After dropping to number 3 position in the high-end segment, Samsung however claimed that it continued to lead the segment by end-sales.
