Started in 1959 today Lijjat is more than just a household name for ‘Papad’. They begin their business operations with the operating expenditure of 80rs, the cooperative business movement begins to take off and now the annual sales of Lijjat are more than 3.5 billion excluding foreign sales.
  • The unique selling proposition of LijjatPapad is a consistently good product quality that’s why they frame cooperative business model which helps them to expand their business and now there are approximately 40000 women are part of this cooperative business.
  • Every morning a group of women goes to the Lijjat branch to knead the dough, which is then collected by other women who roll it into Papads.
  • When these women come in to collect the dough, they also give in the previous day’s production, which is tested for quality. At that point of time the payment of previous day given to the women.
  • Profits generate from export are also shared amongst the whole business family. They are sticking with core values. Lijjat has ensured that every process runs smoothly, members earn a comfortable profit also to serve their consumers without any inconvenience.
  • Committee of 21 members is executing the business operations in 81 districts of our country by doing quality review business meetings to ensure quality assurance of their products.
  • Their strong belief is to delivered quality products at an affordable price that’s why they do not care about any competitions.
