Husqvarna Motorcycles Set To Enter India

  • Bajaj & Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM are celebrating ten years of working together & have decided to take the Husqvarna Motorcycles brand global, & start the production in India.
  • Husqvarna are better known for producing world championship winning motocross & enduro bikes
  • Husqvarna Motorcycles was purchased by BMW Motorrad in July 2007, but in January 2013, it was acquired by Pierer Industrie AG, headed by Stefan Pierer, the current CEO of KTM Motorcycles.
  • Since then Husqvarna has been working in sync with KTM to produce motorcycles, & sharing some of its parts with KTM’s motorcycles.
  • Husqvarna is a modern motorcycle brand with lots of heritage.
  • The Vitpilen 401 & Svartpilen 401 will be produced in India, & will be launched here first.
  • KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles manufactured at the Bajaj factory would be exported to other Asian markets & Europe as well over the next two years.
