Hike in talks with e-tailers for integrating its wallet solution 

  • Instant messaging service Hike is in talks with some major ecommerce players and mobile applications, including Flipkart, Amazon, Ola, Uber and Zomato, for integrating its wallet solution as a payment option. 
  • The wallet service launched by Hike will also be available for making offline payments or payments to brick-and-mortar stores through the app once the government-backed infrastructure for accepting payments is ready. 
  • The country-wide proliferation of BharatQR, a common QR code developed by major card network companies MasterCard and Visa, and National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI), which once deployed, will allow users with debit or credit cards to pay directly from their phone, through just a scan.
