HERSHEY

It’s almost a sin, the food of Gods and an undisputed partner in Guilty pleasures. It’s Chocolate! While there are scores of chocolate cultures in the market in forms of decadent pastries, treats, desserts and mere bars, it doesn’t stop us from loading our fridges with that indulgent Hershey’s chocolate sauce for an occasional topping on our vanilla ice creams and more. When we think of grocery shopping and chocolate, Hershey is the brand we always opt for, and here is why
  • Hershey is one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in North America. Its headquarters are in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It was founded by Milton S. Hershey in 1894 as the Hershey Chocolate Company.
  • Hershey is a member of the World Cocoa Foundation. It is also associated with the Hershey Park Stadium.
  • Hershey purchases its cocoa for the candy bars from West Africa and other tropical places.
  • They sell chocolates in 90 countries around the world. There are in totality 16 manufacturing facilities 12 of which are fully owned.
  • Hershey’s chocolate bars, Hershey’s Symphony, Almond Joy, Mounds, 100 Calorie Bar, Hershey’s Nuggets, Hershey’s kisses are some of their famous quality products which are always in demand.
  • Hershey uses Premium pricing strategy for almost all of its products which allow them to serve a particular class of people.
  •  Hershey’s uses various promotional tools to promote their products which include broadcast, print, internet outdoor and other forms of media. Hershey’s famous brand kisses have its own website.
  • Besides regular media tools, to promote the product, the company also uses public relation (PR) platform which includes press releases, sponsorships, special events and web pages.
  • Hershey applies a micro-marketing concept to its businesses, which enables them to market certain products to small target audiences, tailoring its products to meet these audiences’ particular demands.
  • Hershey relies on a range of advertising techniques during the holiday season. Every holiday, they design special themes for chocolates and candies. It also makes sure that Hershey products are displayed everywhere with the appropriate holiday theme.
