Future Group planning ‘loyalty-driven’ convenience stores

  • Future Group is planning to start ‘loyalty-driven’ convenience stores, a new concept in the industry.
  • Consumers will be able to get more discounts compared to other chains like D’Mart & online platforms like Amazon & Flipkart, who have recently entered groceries.
  • The concept is a combination of a Kirana store, connected commerce & large supermarket
  • Each store will enroll 1,500 customers for an annual fee & will have merchandise suited for that locality & consumer base.
  • Shoppers to get 10% additional discount on each bill apart from existing applicable offers, consumer credit, home delivery options, and access to the online shopping platform.
  • The stores will have three badges – Easy Day, Heritage Retail & Nilgiri.
  • The Future group plans to open around 10,000 convenience stores in next four years.
