Aston Martin has launched an all-new, limited edition hardcore performance AMR sub-brand with the launch of Rapide AMR and Vantage AMR Pro.
-
AMR stands for Aston Martin Racing, which was established in 2004 to handle car racing for the British supercar marque.
-
Its virtually similar to Germany’s top premium nameplates like Audi (RS), BMW (M) and Mercedes-Benz (AMG).
-
AMR cars will be road-legal, while AMR Pro cars will be track-only and developed separately from other models.
-
Success of the limited edition Vantage GT8 and GT12 have inspired Aston Martin to create the AMR sub-brand.
-
AMR will help strengthen the connection between the brand’s road and race cars.
-
AMR will eventually be extended to all other models in the future, as the brand is keen to affirm its reputation as a credible maker of supercars.
-
Owners of AMR cars will be offered driving tuition, just as Aston Martin Vulcan buyers were.
