The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus offer some major upgrades including a new all-glass design, a new A11 Bionic chip and support for wireless charging for the first time.

Release date: Pre-orders for the iPhone 8 will begin on 15 September, with shipping to begin on 22 September.

Price: The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be made available with 64GB or 256GB storage, with models for £689, £849, £749 and £949, respectively.
iPhone X

The iPhone X has an edge-to-edge screen and uses facial recognition to unlock the device, and improved “super retina” display with improved graphics and resolution.

Release date: iPhone X pre-orders will begin on 27 October, with shipping to begin 3 November.

Price: The iPhone X will be made available in 64GB and 256GB configurations, which will cost £999 and £1,149 in the UK, respectively. Pricing in the US starts at $999.
In addition to the phones, Apple announced a third generation of its Watch and a 4K Apple TV.
