Amul has been adjudged as India’s most attractive food and beverage (F&B) brand out of a total of 156 brands listed in the Super category.

According to “Attractiveness: India’s Most Attractive Brand Report 2016”, Amul climbed 31 places over last year and rose to become India’s 32nd most attractive brand this year. It has leapfrogged many F&B brands such as Pepsi, Nestle, Britannia, and Coca-Cola.

In all, 8 Gujarat-based brand- Fogg, Ajanta, Symphony, Vadilal, Havmor to name a few, were listed as respective category leaders in the report.

LG has taken the crown of India’s most attractive brand for 2016. It climbed 1 position over last year and Sony, this year ranks 2nd in the list. Samsung Mobiles, the 2-time reigning champion has moved down to 3rd. Samsung in durables category, rallied from 87th last year to finish 5th this year.

The highest placed wholly Indian conglomerate in Bajaj at 6th Tata comes in 7th, slipping 2 places over last year. India’s Most Attractive Brands 2016 Report, is a result of a primary research based on the proprietary 36 traits of Attractiveness Matrix.

The research was conducted among 2338 consumer-influencers across 16 cities, which resulted in a generation of 10,000 brands, making it the most intensive study on Brand Attractiveness across the globe.
