Taj Hotels, Palaces, Resorts, Safaris is planning to grow in the high-potential adventure & wellness travel segments.
The brand which houses four Safari resorts in Madhya Pradesh & one in Nepal is looking to add on new Safari properties.
India has a lot of untapped potential for Safari product in the North East & Taj is looking out to grow their footprint.
Taj will also be revamping the Jiva Spa brand by taking it to new locations & housing a Jiva Spa showcasing fine-quality products & trained professionals at all the existing resort properties.
Taj is also planning to capitalise on the technological front by rolling out digital check-in & check-out through iPads (Currently at The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel & Taj Lands End, Mumbai) across India by March 2018.
Bookings done on official brand sites are witnessing growth with half of the traffic coming through smartphones.
Websites with revamped 360° photos & virtual tours, multi-lingual sites (in French, Spanish, German, etc.) & native apps will also be launched soon.
Joint marketing campaign is also being developed for properties in Goa, Rajasthan & Kerala.
Upcoming launches include a Taj-owned property at Havelock Island in Andaman Island, followed by management contracts in Shimla, Wayanad, Gangtok, Rishikesh & Darjeeling.
