Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus has entered India with the launch of three models, with an aim to tap the growing number of luxury customers, especially those Toyota customers who are looking to upgrade.
The company’s future strategy is to tap the growing Indian luxury customers as the high net worth individuals are growing here, getting more affluent & spending more on luxury items.
The company hasn’t set a sales target as such and would create the Lexus brand in India.
Their pricing position will be higher than JLR or German brands & would likely provide eco-friendly mobility solution in luxury segment.
Along with the three models i.e. RX Hybrid model (1.07 crore) RX F Sports hybrid (1.09 crore) & ES 300h hybrid sedan (55.27 lakh), Lexus also unveiled its top-end SUV LX450d & fifth generation Lexus LS, but didn’t announce the price.
