McDonald’s is planning a breakfast revolution with a branded menu that will include culinary delights ranging from the masala dosa burgers with molaga podi sauce to the familiar anda bhurji.
It will also sell spinach and corn and hash brown brioches, along with plain and masala scrambled eggs, waffles, and hotcakes.
The new menu is a combination of continental and Indian options.
It will be rolled out initially in Mumbai, and then across India.
With the addition of ultimatedesi variation to its existing breakfast menu, McDonald’s aims to lure customers & sell more morning meals.
Consumers preferring fresh, homemade breakfasts or packaged healthier products like masala oatswill, however, be the biggest challenge for the company.
In 2009, the U.S. food retailer had introduced the McAloo Tikki burger which was specially crafted for India to take on a widely popular street food.
The India focus comes amid McDonald’sgiving up control of its business in China.
